HER PRACTICE
Karen favours interventions adapted to each person’s uniqueness. Her practice is based on an in-depth analysis of each individual’s needs and strengths. She draws on several approaches, including trauma-sensitive, attachment-focused, developmental and relational, and cognitive-behavioural.
She brings creativity to her work with young people, using concrete tools and playful activities.
She has also specialized in animal-assisted therapy and strongly believes in the therapeutic power of animal-assisted interventions. Her dog Abby can accompany her in sessions, bringing an extra dimension of comfort and support for skill development.
Karen accepts IVAC mandates.
